Artist Statement

"I paint playful, detail-rich paintings that celebrate the carefree humour and beautiful randomness of everyday life."

Each piece begins as a meditation, sometimes eyes closed I add layers of colour and texture that build up over time, shapes reveal themselves matching signature icons included in all my paintings. With no sketch in mind a random scene begins to appear filled with characters and everyday items that feels both relatable and funny at the same time.
